Here it is! Finally, the costume I talked about making for over a year, and finally I finished it and debuted it (however briefly) at Connichi 2012, in Kassel. Although in the end, it's not quite as rich or elaborate and I had hoped, it wound up being very close to the original drawings, so for that I'm really happy, and proud. <3 I think my favorite piece is the hat, which I made by hand using wire mesh and a cover of heated-and-formed craft foam, then covered in the same matte grey-lavender satin I used in my sleeve insets. I created the ruffles by hand, and attached them the same way. The Rose is my favorite, made my myself out of the same hand-dyed fabric as used in my overskirt and part of my sleeves, attached on a pin setting so I could attach it cleanly to the hat.

The wig started out as a Derek from Arda in their Dark Brown.

Admittedly, this photo doesn't show much of the costume, but I'm rather found of how nicely it shows the detailing of the hat, collar, and some of the detailing on the sleeves and bodice. I can't wait to wear this again at KatsuCon in February!
